An independent consultancy in noise control,
acoustics & audio engineering since 1977
Ken Dibble Acoustics is an independent consultancy in general acoustics and noise control which has achieved a UK wide reputation for its work in performing and recorded arts acoustics and addressing the particular noise containment and exposure problems associated with amplified music and leisure activities.
In addition, the practice is able to demonstrate a convincing track record in devising solutions to unusual and off-beat acoustical and noise control problems in a wide variety of application fields.
Services available range from preliminary feasibility studies to in-depth investigational surveys, specification and supervision of works, commissioning and compliance audit.
Expert investigation & assessment, formal reporting & testimony is available in noise nuisance litigation, licensing and planning applications and appeals, and in forensic acoustics.
In addition, the practice is well known for its expertise in the related field of audio engineering including components & systems for live performance, playback, speech reinforcement and public address facilities - including intrinsically safe, life safety and emergency systems complying with current codes of practice and IEC standards.
Established in 1977, KDA is a small practice where all projects are individualy managed by the Practice Prinicpal. From the outset, freedom from commercial influence has been a primary policy commitment and no commonodities are merchandised. Established in 1977, KDA is a small practice where all projects are
individ-ually managed by the Practice Principal.
From the outset, freedom from commer-cial influence has been a primary
policy
commitment. No commodities are merchandised. Thus the practice is able to
base its recommendations on product selected on the basis of technical
merit,
constructional compatibility, aesthetic suitability or value.
Some £30,000 worth of test and meas-urement instrumentation is available
in-house, much of which is calibration certificated and its use is included
in the
basic fee rates.
Much reliance is placed on CAD tools and on computer based modelling,
communication and adminis-tration as an aid to maximising produc-tivity and
quality
management.
The practice is based in the expanding Midlands town of Rugby - renowned as
the birthplace of Rugby Football in 1843, for its public school and it's
electrical engineering history.
The town is located at the M1/M6/A14 intersection, is a Virgin West Coast
main-line stop, with Birmingham International Airport just 30 minutes away.
Offering reduced rates for travell-ing time, KDA is competitive in most
geo-graphical areas and for this reason enjoys a UK wide client base,
hinging on
our standard of service and specialist expertise rather than on geographical
considerations.
